MOLDURAS DEL NOROESTE, a company with more than 30 years of experience in the manufacturing of wall cladding under the brands:

is now commercializing FIREPROFF FRISONOBLE, a cladding fireproof treated by means of the process developed by our own investigation team, it presents the following characteristics:

Fireproof Frisonoble is a covering for walls and ceilings made of different species of wood. In accordance with the certificate issued by the Laboratory of Fire AFITI-LICOF, belonging to the Ministry of Industry, it fulfils all the requirements of th TECHNICAL CODE FOR BUILDING: Basic Document of Safety in case of fire (BD-SF), as it has been awarded the following rates on its reaction to fire under the European Norm (UNE EN 13501-1) and depending on the type of wood:

Fireproof Varnished Yellow Pine Frisonoble: B – s 2, d 0
Fireproof Yellow Pine Flooring: Bfl – s 1
Fireproof Varnished Red Pine Frisonoble: B – s 2, d 0
Fireproof Red Pine Flooring: Bfl – s 1

(also previously tested according to the Norm UNE-73727:1.990 being qualified with an M1 level)

The treatment is executed by injecting the fireproof component MNO3, created in our labs, into the wood by the use of an autoclave and vacuum – press cycles that guarantee the penetration of the salts into the pieces. Afterwards, the wood is dried and mechanized. The fireproof flooring would be this way ready after packing. For the cladding there is another step before packing as it still undergoes a process of fireproof varnishing in two stages: one for dressing it and another one for the final looking.

The fireproof products are only for interior installation, otherwise their properties might be washed away. In covered spaces, properties are kept along time.

The mechanical and acoustic properties of fireproof wood are almost identical to the non-treated wood. The fireproof component is not toxic, so the fireproof treated products have no impact over health or environment.

In order to guarantee the efficiency and good functionin of the fireproof products the strips to use should also undergo the same fireproof treatment developed by Molduras del Noroeste, s.l.-

Note: FIREPROOF FRISONOBLE has been tested as a part of the SANDWICH PANELS made by another Spanish firm, as result it has been classified B-s 1, d 0. For further information on this use of our cladding please contact our Quality Department.

FIREPROOF FRISONOBLE HAS UNDERGONE THE MOST DEMANDING TESTS Tests of reaction against fire with Fireproof Frisonoble simulated under the hardest conditions: in a corner. Fixed over treated strips a flame of more than 2 meters high is applied during 30 minutes with a gas-burner. When that time has elapsed the gas is turned off and the fire extinguishes immediately, demonstrating that Fireproof Frisonoble does not contribute to spread fire. Moreover, the part of the wall affected is just that one near to the burner. Test carried out in the Afiti-Licof laboratory, certified by MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY
