FLOORING FOR OUTDOOR USE (Models 560 and 561)

Molduras del Noroeste adds two new items to its range of products. The flooring range is enriched with two new designs for outdoors use, with the manufacturing and treatment processes totally developed in our facilities.

Double groove wood flooring in red pine, 95 mm wide and 22 mm thick. Its rounded edges contribute to evacuate the water and avoid sharp surfaces that might cause cuts or injuries on a barefoot.

It is fixed to the wood strips using clips of stainless steel with a hole in the lower part that allows to fix the clip to the wood strip by means of a screw. The space between two adjacent pieces of wood flooring, once they are installed, is 5 mm.

The model 560 shows an uneven surface or non-slip finishing. The model 561 is smooth.

Protective Treatment: Chanfora has accomplished a protection against risk level 4 (wood in permanent contact with the ground or fresh water). The wood flooring is protected against fungus and insects, through a treatment in autoclave with a preservative free of Chromium and Arsenic. Opposite to the traditional preservatives with CCA salts, which use is already restricted and banned, the preservative we apply is Chromium and Arsenic free but maintaining the protective effectiveness. Therefore, our preservative is much less harmful for health, safety and environment, as it has been demonstrated throughout several toxicological tests. The product is registered in the Register of Pesticides of the Ministry of Health with the number 01-80-02309. it contains copper-HDO which lends a green shade to the wood. In order to guarantee a complete penetration into the wood, firstly we make an initial vacuum of 750 millibars and after a long immersion in the preservative it will be submitted to an additional pressure of 15 bars during a specific time. Finally, the excess liquid will be removed by a last vacuum of 750 millibars.

Once the preservative is inside the wood it is resistant to the elements and will not be washed out. The recommended retention by the manufacturer, for a risk level 4, is 14 kg/m3 of treated wood and 15 kg/m3 if a protection against termites is included. The retention reached by means of the described process is higher than 15 kg of salts by cubic meter of treated wood.

The effectiveness of our treatment has been supported by the Quality Distinction of AITIM for treated woods.

Fixing system: hidden and secure

Chanfora is placed on wood strips which have been treated too. To fix them some clips made of stainless steel are used, with a hole in the upper part that allows to assemble the clip to the strip by a screw. The space between 2 pieces of outdoorsfloring is 5 mm once the clip is fitted, enough to allow the natural movements of wood and showing at the same time an uniform looking. Being the clip hidden enforces the sucurity of users, avoiding grazes or injures.

At the same time this fixing system enlarges the product life as the wood is not damaged with screws or nails.

A flooring for any place

Aside its environment conditions and properties, Chanfora adapts aesthetically to any natural emplacement or space. It is ideal for terraces, open air businesses, gardens, swimming-pools, seaside walks, etc. And it can cover small corners as well as huge transit locations.

FINISHES: Chanfora (even installed) allows the combination of different finishes by the use of sun filters which provide an additional protection against the UV radiations.
